What better way to celebrate my birthday than by having my first giveaway?
My birthday was a blast. I attended a wedding on Lake Erie and was able to visit with friends during my Ohio visit. It was nice to travel and not have to rely on maps or a GPS to get around. The weather could not have been more perfect as the sun set behind the horizon and lighting up the clouds with warm pink colors.
My older sister, Crystal, gave me 1,000 Places to See Before You Die a few years ago for a birthday present. I now use the book while planning trips to see what places are near to where I am traveling. The book is a great starting point if you need travel inspiration and have yet to develop your travel tastes.
Even though I know I will never be able to check off all the places within the book, I do plan on attempting. However, some may be nearly impossible because not all the ‘places’ described are physical locations but are seasonal festivals and events. I highlight my book with a pink highlighter if I have been to the place or a green highlighter if Andy has been. If we have both been, the place gets both colors.
