I am very fortunate to have access to volcanoes, mountain ranges, and water. Since I have been exploring Washington’s mountain ranges, I thought it was time to explore the the sea as part of the Momondo experiences series. I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend with the boyfriend. I know that Vancouver Island will not disappoint.

Victoria Clipper

Leaving from Seattle, we will be cruising through the Puget Sound and the Strait of Juan de Fuca to experience the water and beautiful landscape. After touring Orcas Island last Fall, I have been itching to explore more of the islands off the coast. Departing from Seattle and watching the Olympic Peninsula mountains from a distance as we head toward the Canadian side of the Salish Sea.

Clipper Vacations offers an overnight Seattle to Victoria package, which conveniently leaves close to where we live and doesn’t cost much more to add a hotel stay to the ferry fare. It is a perfect escape that is taken care of by Victoria Clipper, so we are not figuring out ferry schedules or worrying about driving.

Vancouver Island

I am not entirely sure what to expect from the island itself. However, we do plan on renting a car and exploring one of the largest islands of the area. Even though off British Columbia’s mainland, Victoria is the capitol of British Columbia and can be reached via boat. I am finding even more reasons to visit during my travel research, and I hope to spend time exploring the city and island.
