Twitter, Flickr, StumbleUpon, Facebook, Pinterest, Tumblr, etc. . . . I am drowning in a sea of social media. How do I promote my travel blog with the infinite number of social media networks to choose from?

social media

Has anyone seen He’s Just Not That Into You? I did after reading the book, which my mom bought me. The part of the movie when Mary says dating is hard because there are so many forms of media to go through to see if they are interested. This is how I feel about keep up with all my social media accounts.

I had this guy leave me a voice mail at work so I called him at home and then he e-mailed me to my Blackberry and so I texted to his cell and then he e-mailed me to my home account and the whole thing just got out of control. And I miss the days when you had one phone number and one answering machine and that one answering machine has one cassette tape and that one cassette tape either had a message from a guy or it didn’t. And now you just have to go around checking all these different portals just to get rejected by seven different technologies. It’s exhausting. – Mary from He’s Just Not That Into You

I have read blog posts suggesting to pick a few that work best for me. However, I still want to share my content with other travel lovers like myself! I try my best to keep up-to-date on my networks. I want to share my travel experiences with others in case they can relate to me. However, I do not want followers to lose interest because I am not posting my life to social media. With that being said, I am adding to the madness and starting a Facebook page for my blog site! Please check it out and like my page.

Why Facebook? I have been a devoted Facebook account holder since 2004. I clutter my personal account with my travel posts, so why not?

Any advise will be greatly appreciated from those who have blogs or businesses that utilize social media.
