Chasing sunshine for Memorial Day weekend landed us in Oregon’s great outdoors. Even better was when we realized that Mount Bachelor Ski Resort what still open. With only a few lifts open, Bachelor was still charging full ski lift prices but was worth it. It was a great day to hit the slopes and remember why I love cruising down these mountains with planks clipped to my boots. Pacific Northwest skiing does not offer the best blue bird pow days that other resorts have, but it does offer spring blue skies and amazing mountainous views. Here are a few pictures from a late spring day of skiing in Oregon.

After the snow turned to mashed potatoes, a Keg Festival with local Bend breweries waited for us. Sampling beers and chatting with the breweries was a great way to end my resort skiing for the season. I was able to ski roughly 30 times from November to May. It has been a great journey learning to ski these past two years, and I can’t wait to get out next season.
