Every month from now on I will be sharing a flashback image from my travels.

What this photo means to me:

Family. I am lucky to have been able to travel with my parents. Sharing my travel passion with my parents is something I have always wanted to do.

Behind the scenes story:

This monthly flashback is from a road trip around Ireland. My cousin had her wedding in Ireland, and I convinced my parents to travel with me. Since neither of them have traveled internationally (not counting Mexico and Canada), Ireland was a great place to ease them into international travel. Plus, aren’t they just so cute?

I learned that my mom would always tell my siblings and me to finish school, take them on a trip, and then get married. It is amazing that I do not remember her saying this, but she did and was grateful I subliminally listened.

Location: Louisburgh, Ireland

Location:

Louisburgh is a small, remote area. We stayed at the Cuaneen House Bread and Breakfast. We did not spend much time there, but it is close to Westport, Connemara National Park, and Croagh Patrick. Westport is becoming quite the tourist destination. At my cousin’s wedding, we asked several of the Irish guests where to go. Most highly recommended Westport.

Would you travel with family?
