Right before moving to a new city, I was overwhelmed with the thought of how many things I did not do locally in Cleveland. I never went to Melt or the wineries east of the city or the many museums near University Circle. I have come to the realization that I need to still spend time where I live, along with exploring the world.

I am currently living in Ballard, so naturally this recent article peaked my interest. I am excited to be living in an area that is considered to be one of the 10 Best Neighborhoods That Tourists Haven’t Found Yet. I can’t wait for the summer to visit the Ballard Locks to see the fish swimming through. The Locks are decent even without the fish, but it is one thing on my long to-do list.

Another article I recently found Insider’s Guide to the Seattle Icons You Thought You Knew, which points out interesting facts about tourist destinations in Seattle.

There are also other tourists destinations that I am waiting for until I have friends or family to visit, so I don’t pay to see the attraction multiple times. I just hope that I am able to see as much as possible without any regrets.

What attractions do you recommend if someone were to visit your neighborhood?
